Blue Water Hirtshals enters into agreement with Sekkingstad

In the beginning of December, Blue Water Hirtshals entered into a transport and logistics agreement with one of Norway’s largest salmon exporters Sekkingstad.

The agreement means that Blue Water will transport Sekkingstad’s production of fresh, iced salmon and trout from their packing facilities in Bergen and from external packing facilities around Norway. Sekkingstad’s annual sales amount to approximately 50,000 tons. The fish is either transported directly to the clients in Europe and Norway or to Blue Water’s reefer terminal in Padborg for sorting, handling and further distribution in Europe.

“Norwegian export of fresh and frozen fish is a large and growing market, which we want to remain part of. That is why our experienced drivers and freight forwarders are available 24/7/365”, says Leon K. Andersen, Manager for the Norwegian traffic at Blue Water Hirtshals.

From Padborg, Blue Water offers daily departures to Germany, Holland, Belgium, France as well as weekly departures to other European markets.
