New Carrier Transicold France Service Centre in Wissous
WISSOUS, France – In order to expand its geographical coverage and enhance its customer service, Carrier Transicold France recently opened a new service centre in Wissous, near Paris. Carrier Transicold, which operates in France as Carrier Transicold France, helps improve global transport and shipping of temperature controlled cargoes with a complete line of equipment for refrigerated trucks, trailers and containers, and is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).
The Wissous service centre is strategically located near the city of Rungis, home to Paris’s largest international agro-food market. The new facility’s workshop is equipped with a temperature pull-down testing facility to certify the refrigeration capacity of Carrier Transicold units in accordance with Agreement Transports Périssables regulations. Designed to perform high quality, timely work in a safe and secure environment, the facility includes a well-stocked regional spare parts warehouse for shipments and over-the-counter sales.
Technicians are regularly trained and certified by Carrier Transicold France, as more than 4,000 training hours are invested per technician with 200 technicians educated each year. There are 12 technicians at the Wissous service centre, each with refrigeration, diesel mechanics and electrical expertise to properly maintain refrigeration units.
The Wissous service centre team works together to meet customer expectations for optimal quality mounting, troubleshooting and repair, ensuring operational efficiency of refrigeration units and cold chain continuity. The goal is to help ensure customers’ goods are transported on time at controlled temperatures and in optimal condition to the end customer.
