Schmitz Cargobull wins Best Brand prize from ETM-Verlag

Stuttgart/Horstmar – The readers’ decision was clear: Schmitz Cargobull is the winner of the ‘Best Brand’ award in the Trailer category. Europe’s leading trailer manufacturer has won the title for the fifth time. The readers of the Fernfahrer, lastauto omnibus and trans aktuell trade publications voted for this year’s renowned Image prize, awarded by publisher ETM-Verlag.

“Winning the award in the Trailer category once again is an outstanding result, and makes us proud. We regard the award as confirmation of the value of our efforts and our customer-oriented products. The practical and efficient innovations from Schmitz Cargobull consistently prove their reliability every single day,” declared Ulrich Schöpker, Board Member of Schmitz Cargobull AG, at the awards ceremony on 11th June in Stuttgart.

The trailer company also succeeded in the Tipper category, and rose in the rankings to second place: “We owe this success to the combination of solid engineering and personal recommendations from satisfied customers. Customers are particularly impressed with the high technical standard and the durability when used for construction work,” explained Ulrich Schöpker. “At our customer events such as the Tipper Days we receive important practical feedback, which our engineers then integrate into further vehicle development.”

Schmitz Cargobull’s refrigeration system also took second place in the Refrigeration Units category, repeating the success of the previous year. “Our increasing vertical system integration and ‘one-stop shop’ strategy, together with tailored financing are proving their value,” explained Mr. Schöpker. “In particular, the high-performance refrigeration unit with its intelligent control system and data recording, combined with the web-based monitoring system and proactive service management, provide complete control over the cooling of the freight,” continued Ulrich Schöpker.

Transparent communication with customers via the trade press, the newsletter and social media have all contributed to Schmitz Cargobull’s triple success, and the development of the brand itself. Furthermore, user days, plant tours and personal consultations serve to maintain the direct dialogue with customers. These same customers are also the readers of the trade publications. As such, Schmitz Cargobull’s outstanding rankings represent both an ongoing commitment and a motivation to continue to excel.

The readers of ETM’s trade publications, lastauto omnibus, trans aktuell and FERNFAHRER, voted for the 19th awards recognising the best commercial vehicles. The winners in the 22 categories were elected in cooperation with DEKRA and under judges’ supervision. The readers themselves judge the brand image and product quality. These awards represent an important industrial barometer, given that the results of the survey provide tangible proof of customer opinions and preferences.
